HIS Cry

Friday, January 1, 2010

He cries for the souls of men
Led away in slavery.
He cries for the lives they have lost.
Because they have not known
They have an enemy.
The war is easy for our foe
If he is invisible.

The children cry.
Ones abandoned cry out
Don't leave us.
How will we live?
Do we fight alone?

Come back to us!
Away from those
Who steal the soul
And call to gods
Who cannot save them.

They worship themselves
And have no fear
Of the one true God
Who will rule all men.

His hand is sweet
and gentle is He,
But he will not always strive
To set these men free.

We ask for time
Mercy to receive,
His grace to stand in
The gap of Sin
That covers those who do not see.

The children ask
Will our parents come home
from captivity?
If we stand in the gap
That is tailor made
For you and me.
