29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:29-31, King James Version

On Predestination and being everywhere at the same time.
This movie is great and brings up some issues that have caused arguments in the Christian Church for sometime.

2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,
3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. (Romans 11:2-4, King James Version

How can God know beforehand? Well He is God like that. He is everywhere at the same time. Knows everything there is to know. And we, finite beings can have a conversation with this same God.

In this movie Mr. Washington is a police officer investigating his partners death. With a bit of science fiction that moves the character with flashbacks,
